INTELLIGNT is 1 architectural firm based in 2 locations (NYC and Paris) operating in 3 countries (France, Netherlands and USA) led by 4 nationalities (German, Dutch, French and American) where the diverse knowledge is combined into INTELLIGNT spatial solutions that empower communities.
The multi-national leadership allows the office to cross breed the latest trends and use its diverse intelligence to improve the quality of life where it is most urgently needed; varying from churches, social housing, community services, master plans and design.

The firm is currently involved in various projects throughout Europe and North America where we provide full Architectural design services from Concept design to Construction Management.

With multiple decades of combined experience working under the world-renowned architects including Rem Koolhaas and SANAA, INTELLIGNT provides their clients with a strong tradition of excellence and innovation. From designing dinner tables to skyscrapers, INTELLIGNT architecture strives to find the most innovative yet functional solutions for their clients’ needs.

The INTELLIGNT NY office is led by Principal Haiko Cornelissen and Managing Director Joshua Pulver. The Paris office is led by Principal Paul-Eric Schirr-Bonnans and Managing Director Tina Merkes.

Haiko Cornelissen - Principal NYC

Born in Amsterdam, Haiko Cornelissen is an architect licensed in the Netherlands and US, who studied at MIT and Harvard before graduating in 2004 from the Technical University of Delft. Haiko has worked for Artefactory in Paris, OMA in Rotterdam and Steven Holl Architects in New York and Beijing. He is teaching at Parsons the New School for Design, has taught at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture GSAPP and is also a visiting critic at Harvard, TU Delft, Cooper Union and Pratt Institute and has lectured at Harvard and the Brooklyn Experimental Media Center.

Joshua Pulver - Managing Director NYC

Joshua Pulver has worked in the fields of construction and architecture in New York City since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1995. He was
directly responsible for management of several award winning projects while working for ARO (Architecture Research Office).

Paul-Eric Schirr-Bonnans - Principal, Paris

Paul-Eric Schirr-Bonnans is a French architect who studied in Toulouse and Delft and graduated from Paris la Villette school of architecture. From 1995 to 2010 he worked mainly for Ibos & Vitart architectes and Feichtinger architectes in Paris, and had many other experiences in Toulouse (GGR), Paris (Jourda), Rennes (2adesign), Rotterdam (Monolab), Copenhagen(Plot), Tokyo (MiA & Sanaa) and Dubaï (Tnq). From 2005 to 2016 he was teaching in Nancy and Rennes and is currently teaching architectural design and urban prospective in Bretagne, school of architecture.

Tina Merkes - Managing Director, Paris

Tina Merkes is an architect-engineering with a degree from the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany, recognized by the Order of French Architects (French equivalent for certified architect). After studying in France and Germany, she worked in the fields of construction and architecture.
